Thse 780 is very easy to read from the dash and is very easy to control via the touch screen. I do wish there were a complete operators manual however and think it should be sold with all the auto and charging accy. included. I liked the capability of putting all the addresses etc. in my old iQUE GPS - that would be a nice feature here. I like that it is operational immediatly and there is no wait to capture sat. etc. I give is a 9 of 10. Tom Ruhlmann

This is our first Garmin and we are very pleased with it. Other than our cell phone navigation systems and our vehicles with them built in, this is our first navigation system. I was skeptical at first - something with an original price of $700 being reduced by $500 says there must be something wrong with it or the manufacturer is trying to unload an unsuccessful product. Whatever the reason, this is a great deal for a superb piece of equipment. We have yet to have any problem whatsoever with receiving a satellite signal. I live in Los Angeles and am all over the city constantly. When searching for a retail or business location by name, the Nuvi 780 has found it everytime without fail. The Bluetooth syncs with the iPhone beautifully if you want to pair the two, and you get excellent sound from both the machine or connecting it using an auxiliary cable. (While you can use your FM radio as a transmitter, like everything else I find you get way too much interference.) I definitely recommend buying either the dash mount or vent mount kit to secure it in your car at the same time you buy the nuvi. It will drive you crazy trying to find somewhere to place it using only what it comes with! Wonderful device!

i order the garmin 780 when it delivered to my friend the box wasn't seal and the cover of the box beat up doesn't look like new at all. Whoever, bought from amazon please be careful when they deliver it to you, should check on it make sure you order it new. I ordered my it said new but my friend said it wasn't.
