Excellent power cable. I had to replace the one that came with the Nuvi because the tip of the cigarette lighter plug unthreaded and fell out on a vacation. This replacement cable is better designed so that problem will not happen again. Solid, well built power cable.

we didn't need to order this product, since the Garmin already had one included in its package - now, how did I miss that?

Overall this is a very poor product. The first one I purchased broke after six months. The second unit I purchased did not work from the beginning.
