We got a new point and shoot camera, and it was chewing up regular brand name AA's like they were going out of style. Discovered these at the local big box store and decided to give them a try. Wow. In the name of full disclosure, they cost more than a standard pack of batteries might. But let's face it, you don't want the camera conking out prematurely at the championship soccer game or that once in a lifetime vacation. I simply can't recommend these Lithium Energizers enough.

They do last alot longer in power hungry electronics. I tried them in my Canon SX110IS and they have lasted much longer than alkaline and also make the camera lighter. Also work great in my Garmin eTrex GPS for the same reasons. Overall they are well worth the extra cash especially if you consider how many more alkaline batteries you would go through.

If you own any kind of Out Door Weather instrument such as a weather station, indoor/outdoor digital thermometer or any other item that needs to function in extreme temperatures, these Lithium batteries are a must. I live in upstate New York and my digital out door thermometer was giving me crazy readings once the temperature got below freezing. Under recommendation from an article I read I purchased some of these batteries - problem solved!!
