This charger sucks and it's expensive too! Very poor low quality construction, overheats batteries, doesn't work half the time. The 'fast' charging feature overheats and ruins batteries (causes crystallization). This bloody thing ruined several batteries before I realized what was going on and purchased a real charger (La Crosse Technology BC-900).

After the third time I used this SLOOOW charger to charge Energizer 2500 mAh D-cell batteries, it would no longer turn on. Total waste of money.
