I've owned the blue LED version for 3 years. Got it in Tel'Afar, Iraq w/ the US Army. I lost it for 4 months once, then found it one day while mowing grass, picked it up and it still shone brightly. Recommended for anyone in the dark!

This is a terrific flashlight; incredibly well made and compact. I've given many away as gifts and just lost mine so am ordering another. The one I lost will turn up; I suspect it's been "borrowed" and it will work when it turns up regardless of how it may have been abused. It comes with a convenient elastic belt holster, but I usually put it in my pocket. It is a "broad" or "flood" beam, not a spot. Inova makes others that are "spot" focused. It's very bright, and I know this reads as silly, but it really shines in the dark. If you compare this light to another in the dark, you'll really appreciate the difference in intensity over the width of the beam. It's the perfect light when the electricity is out and you find yourself walking around in the dark. The broad beam helps avoid tripping over things that are just in the periphery. And the broad beam is even so you won't find yourself moving or rolling the flashlight to look at something without the unevenness of an incandescent bulb. If you like to work with a flashlight in your mouth, this isn't the one...it's small enough but just a tad too heavy and metallic to be comfortable for anything more than a few seconds. If this comment doesn't make sense, it doesn't apply to you. The light will roll on a flat surface. Just an observation, not a complaint. I suspect you could drop it from 30 feet onto concrete and it would still work flawlessly. When people see me using this light they ALWAYS ask about it and want one. The batteries last a long time and have a long shelf life so I buy them in bulk packs of 12 for the best price. Because of the compactness, durability, brightness and long battery life, this is my preferred general purpose flashlight.

I have owned this particular light for a few years now. I use it with the kids, at night, in the room, to find broken glass, lost contacts. the uses have been numerous. Of course with any UV or Laser device. Never point directly in to the eyes. I know this is not a laser, but the same rule applies. I have owned several UV flashlights, and this one by far blows the others in the category away. The bulbs are SUPER BRIGHT and I have only replaced the batteries once in about 3 years. I am a geek when it comes to this stuff. 5W LED light, 30mW lasers, and this light. Also, this is good fun when you want to use flourescent paints / glow-in-the-dark stuff or even just flourescent crayons/markers with young ones.. Or even yourself. Buy an invisible marker and write messages and then make them show. CONS: The only drawback I can see is that this unit is not water proof or water resistant. The bulbs themselves are exposed on the end, and I would be very leary about using it outdoors with any sort of mist or rain.
