Excellent router! I replaced a Belkin router, that only worked when it wanted to, with this D-Link and I've had no problems whatsoever. I highly recommend this router to anyone who wants to stay connected!

I have a simple setup: a new HP Pavilion Slimline and Comcast internet cable and modem. I wanted to add a TiVo HD. At first I was hesitant to purchase this item because the specs didn't specify Vista but decided to try it based on the reviews here. As suggested here I ignored the installation CD and just hooked up the cables and rebooted the computer. Worked like a charm. Vista recognized the router and set everything up. With TiVo HD I didn't even have to reboot. As soon as the ethernet cable was plugged in, it did all the rest and gave me the instructions and a code to activate my Netflix downloads. Very happy and I can wholeheartedly recommend this router for a simple setup like mine.

This D-LINK EBR 2310 ETHERNET ROUTER is junk. I spent 8 hours over two days working on it to get it to do something [my computer literacy is above average]. I was finally able to get my computer and blu-ray player on the internet. As I was just popping the champagne open, the router died a sudden death. it literally worked for two minutes after which it became a coaster. it is very sad. Mind you with all the work I still could not properly configure the router despite help from their tech support (they are better by email than by phone incidentally). I went through the disc software, then the updated software on their website then their manual online configuration in addition to the "network magic" to no avail. I am obviously returning it to amazon for a refund. I could have kept if I could hire someone to unplug it and replug it every two minutes for the rest of my life! the contraption works another two minutes every time you reset it. Long story short, I went out to Fry's and bought the linksys 4 port ethernet router with embedded switch [etherfast]. I brought it home and 30 seconds later I was up and running. my blu-ray is talking to netflix as I write this review on my desktop. Granted I probably overpaid for the linksys ($60) but my 8 hours of labor are worth about $1600 according to my boss. Besides what price can you put on frustration. Sometimes it does not pay to be frugal, not with D-link anyway.
