This device has damaged many of my DVDs, rendering them unplayable. It is fortunate that I am in the process of upgrading my collection to Blu-Ray. As I find the damaged discs, I am replacing them with Blu-Ray, but re-buying my entire collection of over 400 movies was not in the cards right now. I am very disappointed.

If these were priced at $25, I might get another. I have 2 and one of them still works (at least for now) and the other just whirrs a little bit and that's all. I'll have to take it apart before I bring it to the dump so I can get my discs back. There must be something else somewhere we can buy that isn't so poorly made. But, I haven't found anything yet. Don't waste money on this.

I got my Stakka several weeks ago, and it serves me really well. I could only wish that there were some other way of accessing the disks (like the Centurion disk libraries), that it held more disks (100 isn't really enough), and that it included a disk drive as well, so I didn't have to move disks to and fro every time I need to use one. But these are minor things - overall, it's saved me a lot of time and trouble. I've seen, in other reviews, that a lot of people seem to have trouble with their Stakkas. Not me - I haven't had a bit of trouble with it. In fact, I think I'll buy another!
