Absolutely shocked that this printer is completely useless on my new Dell computer running Vista 64bit, and Dymo has no idea when they will have a new driver out... Maybe at the end of the year?? So, now a $250 paperweight sits on my desk. I only had it a few months with my old computer, ran about 5 discs through it, and now it's useless... FAIL!

Please note this printer does not support 64bit OS's. Im hunting down my old copy of windows 98 atm to get it to run.

I was excited when I saw DYMO release this because I'm a fan of their products, and I bought it based on the reviews here on Amazon. The printer lives up to expectations in the categories of speed, ease of use, and reliability of operation, but falls short on quality versus other printers out there such as the Epson R series. Specifically, there is visibly obvious "banding" -- concentric rings that are visible on the discs when they're printed -- that make the discs decidedly less than professional quality. My friend took one look at the DVDs I printed and said: I can do a lot better than that with a $79 inkjet printer. And, sure enough, he just sent me a set of DVDs he printed using the same artwork, and it looks amazing vs. The DiscPainter. Needless to say, I felt a bit silly for having paid so much for something that yields such lower quality. Though I love the idea of the DiscPainter: a single-function, made-for-the-job, relatively fast disc printer.. DYMO needs to fix this banding problem to make this truly usable for those who want professional looking discs. I'm sending mine back.
