So far this has turned out to be a great little unit. It plays xvid/divx files perfectly; better than my standalone divx player. The picture is very bright and sharp. The volume levels are fantastic as well; at full volume it is too loud for a sedan. The battery life is not as long as advertised in the owners manual however the car adapter that comes with the unit works when the battery has run down. We bought this little unit to help entertain our 16-month child for an 12 hour drive and it did the job with flying colors. The unit is encased with plastic parts but it doesn't feel as flimsy as I had expected, though I am careful when spinning the screen 180??. I expected remote problems based on other reviews but mine has worked fine from various distances (10+ feet). This product is worth it's every cent in my opinion, especially when compared to the more expensive larger inch models. I've played standard DVD as well as xvids on DVD and USB. I've connected the unit to a 50" plasma. It has done everything I've needed very well. Fantastic player.

This is a good DVD player. I have nothing to compare it to but everything works great. It has a lot of features. The only drawback is that when you have an SD card inserted it doesn't automatically detect it, you have to manually select the input type (unlike having the DVD inserted that is automatically detected). That is why I gave it 4 not 5 stars. When you have a baby and you constantly turn it on and off then select the SD input, it gets to you. It's great for the car and includes a car mounting kit!

I bought this DVD player for a family road trip from Texas to Florida. This thing made the 14 hour drive much more bearable and kept our daughter entertained for hours. The sound and picture quality are consistent with what you'd expect out of a sub-$100 portable DVD player and the product is durable enough. I love that it came with a car charger, wall charger, and AV cables - and I did watch a movie using the SD card slot - excellent playback and battery life when watching movies on SD or USB, and DVD battery playback on battery is fine as well. This is a good product for the price.
