The 2100 infrared components and accessories transmit and receive the infrared signals through the same coaxial cable used to distribute video and stereo audio. All IR targets and emitters must be connected to a 2100A interface. 2100A and 2131 fits Decora-style wall plates not included. In order to use the 2100 series components, it is necessary to use Channel Plus cable panel 3308 or 3212A shown above. Note: Not compatible with 3025 video distribution system.

i was trying to share a satellite box between two rooms with this unit and a 2010, and by trying to save some money i did not buy the power adapter required, planning to use one that i had.
