Nice lightweight unit. No major bells & whistles, just an economical, no frills piece of equipment that is clean looking and easy to operate. One nice feature besides looping is that it has XLR outputs for connecting powered speakers. Numark forgot to add an XLR mic jack so make sure you have 1/4" wires handy. The Mix 3 is especially great if you are a "laptop" DJ because you have a 3-channel mixer W/2 mic inputs AND you can play CD's in case of an emergency. BE CAREFUL BECAUSE SOME CD'S, ESPECIALLY CD-R'S BURNED @ HIGH SPEED WILL SKIP ONCE IN A WHILE. In fairness, some of these discs needed to be cleaned and had surface scratches and might have skipped in other players. Once I reburned them using a slower speed, they played fine.

I am a DJ company from NJ and I just purchased this item brand new. I have used the CD Mix 2 in the past and enjoyed it for a few years before it stopped working properly. I figured I would upgrade to the CD Mix 3. I received it brand new and when I used it at my first gig, it worked great for the first 4 hours, but during the 5th hour, the right side tray would not open anymore. It would read TRAY OPEN, but remained closed. I was pissed about this!!!! When I got home from the gig I looked up the reviews on this item and found out this is very common with Numark products. I will most likely not be buying NuMark again... It's a shame because they are so light and easy to use... Just NO QUALITY!!!! DJ Tommy
