The velocity series by Cables-to-Go, aka Impact Acoustics, are nice mid-quality cables. I've done a bit of research on cables and in all double-blind tests, as long as the cables tested are of some mininum level of quality (i.e., one step above "in-the-box" cables), then no one can tell the difference in the audio produced. This cable has gold-plated connections and shielding, so it meets mid-quality requirements. You don't need anything more than cables like this. The only drawbacks are (1) the connection is not as "tight" as higher quality connectors, like those on Monster Cables, i.e. the skirt on the connectors is not a "turbine" design or anything like that; and (2) the color is a violet-blue (this may or may not be a drawback). The money you would spend on more expensive cables would be better spent on better speakers and/or amplification. After research and testing on my own equipment, I've actually decided to go with Radioshack Gold Series cables on all of my equipment except for my computer soundcard feed to my system. For my computer feed to my amps I use these velocity cables because I needed matching 50-foot cables, and the velocity series has long -run cables for reasonable prices.
