I recently became a fan of the RapidRun system. Yes it's costly but the quality and versatility make it worth while in my opinion. There are several cables and a whole array of terminations available. I suggest going to the Cables To Go website to research the system.

I put a pair of these into each of three new construction projects as a remote input to the AV closet. Anticipated use is for game consoles and/or VCRs. Ease of installation made the added expense worthwhile.
