I've had this product for a few weeks now and am finding it doesn't work with many devices, namely my ipod touch and canon rebel. It does work ok for the WD external drive and canon i860 printer. I'm on an '09 iMac. It does free up enough ports for me to connect these other devices directly to the computer, but I'm pretty disappointed that it doesn't work as designed.

I have another one of these, exactly the same. They both work well with a small inconvenience. I have the ports completely filled with USB cable. About once a month the things gets confused and need to be rebooted. I simply unplug them from my computer, unplug the power, then plug it back in. A minor thing that I live with.

This is just right for my Mac Book Pro. I can plug in 2 external hard drives, a jump drive, iPod. Plenty of power. No problems. Nice size. Doesn't take up much room. Perfect.
