Belkin 900VA UPS LINEINT 6RCPTL W/ AVR 100K CEW

The 900VA Office Series UPS offers protection for your computer against blackouts and brownouts. It features (4) battery backup outlets with surge protection and (2) surge only outlets. The Enterprise Series also features dual communication ports for multi-computer management. It supports USB connectivity, and comes with a $100,000 Connected Equipment Warranty and a Data Recovery Warranty.With a capacity of 540 watts this unit is geared towards mid-level computers and work stations. The Enterprise Series also features easy to replace batteries for extended product life, and Automatic Voltage Regulation for line conditioning.

The first few months to a year the product was fine, but eventually becomes an expensive power strip after the battery dies.

I had pretty much the same experience as other users of this backup/UPS system. After a couple years, this unit has no battery power whatsoever, and worse, it does NOT protect against surges. Lost a hard drive but luckily I run a mirrored RAID so didn't lose anything. Not taking any chances though....this thing is going in the trash and I'll have to buy a replacement one...and you can bet it won't be a Belkin! I have another backup by CyberPower than has worked great for a couple years and that is the brand I now recommend and buy.
