This is a great desktop phone! It supports 2 lines and you can conference a third party into a call. Caller ID with call waiting is offered, if that's a part of your plan with the phone company. I find call waiting too annoying, and it interrupts the calls being made, so I say skip that feature. The number log can hold 100 names/numbers, which is a bonus. Typically, I only need 9-10, but the extra space is there if and when needed. The speakerphone is brilliant - especially when you are left on hold. You can pop up, grab something across the room, and not a) stretch the cord into a shapeless mass or b) lose the call. The buttons for volume, headset, and speakerphone are clearly marked with visuals (up arrow, down arrow, picture of a headset, and side view of a speaker). I find the receiver to be lightweight and not bulky, at all. There is the beeping of buttons as you dial, as someone mentioned, but I find this normal with most phones. It's the phones that are silent in their dialing that worry me! Luckily, the screen displays the number you are dialing, too. This is a great phone for a small business or even a busy home. I like that its aesthetics are unobtrusive, and it is simple in its details. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a good desktop phone.

I bought this phone, but came open, without the manual information. By the way, works well and is a new product.

Had to stick up for this phone after seeing some low review scores. I work from a home office and have had this phone for at least 5 years. It has all the features I need, solid quality, intuitive buttons that are well laid out, etc. A couple of small items mentioned in earlier reviews are true, like the need to sometimes slow down and make sure to push the buttons. I've actually only experienced this when punching in my SBC voicemail code, so thought it was an issue with their systems. I love this phone.
