The Avocent DSR1021 KVM switch is specifically designed for IT administrators who need to easily troubleshoot, reboot or even power cycle servers or serial devices in branch offices, avoiding the need for costly on-site service calls. The 8-port DSR1021 switch expands the Avocent DS Series patented, field-proven KVM over IP technology. The DSR1021 switch includes external modem support, so IT administrators can manage remote devices if the network is down. The Avocent DSView management software provides secure KVM over IP access and control anywhere, anytime. With DSView software, IT administrators can access a branch offices servers, routers, DSUs and switches from any location - even over a Web browser.The DSR1021 appliance is managed by DSView software - the industry's most secure and reliable centralized software management system. DSView software enables administrators to manage remote servers and VT100 network devices with the same interface they use to manage their data center devices.
