I bought this cable, because I was setting up a home network, and I needed a lot of no-frills patch cables, and this worked just fine. They seem to be well constructed, and all of them have worked so far. I haven't had a chance to test the bandwidth on them (none of my computers have gigabit ethernet), but afaik, they work fine. Don't let the small price dissuade you. After all... they are just cables.
