Cable works fine, and the build quality isn't bad either. I'd give it 5 stars, but I have nothing to compare it to. I got this for a PS2 on which I noticed some buzzing with movies, and thought it would improve things. It really did, the PS2 sounds MUCH better and no more buzzing. Also, having 5.1 is very nice as well.

i bought this and thought i needed it ... still haven't found out what it is for. have looked into a newer home theater unit still can't see where it is needed.

Solid build quality, plugs in to the devices and stays in, the packing is a simple plastic bag, no extra packing! I used Tripp Lite UPS at work and they have been nice and solid, and so I bought 2 audio cables. I am not disappointed by any means.
