Hi! We are pleased with this phone set because 1) sounds are clear with no interference, 2) the sets are light and comfortable, 3) the system works as stated in the instructions, and 4) it's a great value. The base unit takes some time to get used. The caller ID works fine. The other users may have misunderstood the directions. If you read them carefully you'll have no problems. I'd buy this unit again.

Well, for MagicJack users this phone is one of the ONLY digital phones I've found that sounds good enough to keep. I tried several different models including some much more expensive ATT models which all sounded HORRIBLE with MagicJack (and by horrible I mean literally unusable). I was VERY happy with the quality of the inbound/outbound audio on both the corded phone and the cordless phones - even in speakerphone mode. To be fair the phone is a bit quirky but I haven't had any of the problems described above. Little annoyances abound like when the phone loses power you have to reset the clock on the base unit TWICE - once for the answering system on the base station (if you have the FE3 model) and secondly for the clock on the base station display. Im not sure what the rocket scientists at GE were thinking on that one. Also, there is no way to sync phone books across phones which is a nice feature if you have kids (because you can keep your lists separate) and truly annoying if you don't. Also a clearing of the caller ID list/last called list only clears the log of THAT particular phone - there is no way to clear all of them at once. Programming and operating the phone is also a little more button-intensive that I would prefer but I'm a techie so I'm used to buttons. For example, clearing the caller ID log on the base station involves the following keystrokes: press caller id button, press menu/ok button, press up arrow twice, press menu/ok button twice. Seems it would have been easier to just create a single button to do this for gods sake rather than having to press 6 buttons. Despite these annoyances, I cannot in anyway knock the sound quality through my Magicjack and because of that reason alone it is a keeper. It has performed flawlessly in that regard, has had NO compatibility issues with Magicjack and the range on the wireless units is very, very good. It looks good too in my office next to my other silver and black accessories which is nice. I hope that's helpful...
