It worked fine. I'm far from being a computer geek but I installed it easily. But-- My laptop has two memory slots. It came with 1 gig memory. I assumed that one of the two slots would have a one gig stick and I simply needed to install a 1 gig stick in the second slot to double my RAM. But when I opened up the laptop each of the two slots contained a 512m stick. So I replaced one 512m with this 1 gig stick and now have 1.5 gig instead of the two gig I hoped to have. So you may/likely will have to purchase two of these sticks to increase your memory from one to two gigabytes. By the way. Before I ordered this I contacted the laptop maker and was led to believe my assumption about having a empty slot available was correct.
