The Adaptec 19160 is the top performance/value choice for Windows desktop users. It delivers Ultra160 SCSI technology at an affordable price. The SCSI Card 19160 features a SCSI data transfer rate of 160 MB/sec and a system bus rate of 133MB/sec. It lets you connect up to 15 devices! To ensure data integrity and reliability with high performance, Ultra160 SCSI includes CRC (Cyclic Redundancy Checking). CRC checks all transferred data, adding significantly to data integrity. Domain validation intelligently verifies system configuration for improved reliability. In addition, the Ultra160 SCSI card also enables up to 12 meter cable-lengths for optional configuration flexibility.This open-box product is available in limited quantities while supplies last.

I upgraded from a slow, yet still faster than IDE Adaptec 2940UW. When the controller bios started, it actually displayed the speed of the connected devices! That is the most simplest way to see if you device is configured and running at its optimum. Then came the applications and games...unbelievable speed with a 10k rpm 36gig hard drive. Way to go Adaptec!
